Foi divulgado no site oficial do anime Genshiken, o primeiro vídeo promocional seguindo a sequência do mangá, com a segunda temporada. 

Tsutomu Mizushima está servindo como diretor e também estará responsável pelo som do anime pelo estúdio Production IG.
